EMF/ELF Field Detection and Measurement
Not all EMF, ELF, and RF detection measurement devices are accurate. Most are just not accurate at all frequencies. For example at 60 HZ (normal US line current frequencies) one device may be accurate up to 2% while being unable to pick up anything at microwave frequencies. Some devices are sensitive only to electric fields and others to magnetic fields. Most meters miss DC magnetic anomalies entirely. Although an inexpensive sensitive meter for EMF designed to peak at 60 HZ may be adequate for most home appliances and wiring situations, it also will miss harmonics and high magnitude levels at other frequencies (such as at radio, microwave, and higher frequencies).

Environmental Medicine
Environmental Health is breaking new ground integrating the effects of external electromagnetic fields in our environment, with how it affects the electromagnetic fields within the human body. This is an area of environmental health and ecology which has heretofore been isolated in the past.
Since electromagnetic pollution or smog can cause confusion, its consequences upon on human psychology, social systems, and politics have only begun. It is now becoming accepted that those who have a well organized self organizing energy field (SOF) feels more secure and empowered than those whose nervous systems and energy fields are disrupted or disturbed. The former group tends toward egalitarian societies while the latter group tends toward authoritarian, hierarchical, and even toward totalitarian relationships, social structures, organizations, societies and politics. Thus the elimination of disruptive and disorganizing electrical "noise" can lead to more clarity, self confidence, and a healthier and more just society in general while electrical pollution can be a causative agent in the creation of authoritarian, totalitarian, and other similar structures which cede authority to an external loci of control or order or else habitually demand loyalty, dependence, and obedience upon external environmental systems of control and order (like a security state). In short, when the inner ecology/environment is disrupted and confused then the individual seeks order externally in authoritarian systems who for the most part are only to glad to serve the slave's needs.

The Collaborative for Health and the Environment (CHE): The effects of environmental toxicants can range from minor to severe. Increasing numbers of informed individuals and organizations are concerned about these impacts and attempting to learn more about the risks and options for minimizing or eliminating such exposures.
Unfortunately, such efforts in environmental health have too often been fragmented. Medical, patient, public health and environmental groups that share some of the same concerns too often have not worked together toward common goals. A diverse and inclusive collaboration is essential to success in reducing public exposure to environmental toxicants and developing preventive strategies. European Union: Commission on Electromagnetic Fields: including: The aim of the Reflex project(2) is to analyze primary cellular effects of electromagnetic fields (EMF), with special emphasis on the following parameters:
- genotoxicity: EMF at levels below ICNIRP guidelines may not alter DNA directly, but could do so indirectly by triggering metabolic changes;
- cell differentiation and function: will be studied in animal cells lines as a model for central nervous system cells exposed to EMF from mobile phones;
- gene expression and protein targeting;
- effects on the immune system; and
- effects on processes involved in cancer development and programmed cell death (apoptosis).
Results of those studies will enable experts to improve their risk assessment studies, industry to design less harmful EMF products, and legislators to establish science-based threshold values for EMF exposure. If beneficial effects are seen, the work may lead to biomedical applications (e.g. EMF may be useful in treating psoriasis, healing bone fractures and relieving pain).

The Politics of Environmental Medicine and Electromagnetic Regulation in Particular
The modern Corporate State whose politicians accept over hundreds of millions of dollars a year from corporate "donors" insures that the wolf will continue to watch the chicken coop, unless the voter wakes up and demands representation. it's not that these regulatory agencies are not doing their jobs, but more so they are subsidizing the advantage of their donors at the detriment of those who not pay off; i.e., you and I.
Hence we get FCC commissioners, FDA chieftains, EPA heads, , National Institute of Health, Cancer Research, Public utility Commissions, and much more all working for those who are already loaded (the status quo) who want to make more money. Then the tax payer pays for these subsidies in more ways than tax money be assured. The cancer industry, the disease care industry, telecommunications, the media, electronics, the electrical appliance industries,and the electrical generation industries (read big oil, Enron, Halliburton, Union Oil, British Petroleum, etc.) represents a huge financial conglomerate who makes their interests well known to politicians who are paid off. One only has to watch the revolving door between industry and government regulatory agency chieftains and board members. One only has to follow the money that their corporate sponsors contribute to politician's coffers. Such makes the Tammany Hall and Daley machine scandals in New York and Chicago respectfully look like peanuts in comparison.
The same goes for energy production and electromagnetic radiation official policy. the official policies will support the status quo as long as they pay onto the corrupt politician's coffers, or more causally the more people will vote for corrupt politicians who can manipulate the media.and people's minds.
The present malaise is another example of why supply side economics doesn't work. Namely drugs, crime, sex slavery, cancer, pollution, EMF pollution, and so forth are not solved by bequeathing the oil companies, airlines, pesticide farming, drug companies, or telecommunications companies more tax dollar subsidies and advantages. Artificially Increasing or decreasing the supply of these commodities or services is rather after the fact -- treating symptoms. Whether it be cancer, pollution, the cost of energy, or increases in the sex trades one is much better off looking at the CAUSES or the demand side of the economic equation. In other words what is it that causes the disease, the pollution, the radiation sickness, the cancerous chemicals, the poisoned air, the desire for drugs, or the waste in energy? Certainly it doesn't take a genius to find the causes as long as there is a genuine attempt. Once the causes are identified, then an honest government motivated on protecting (versus exploiting its own people) can do something other than repressive legislation to reduce our national addictions on petrol-chemicals, pharmaceuticals, neurotic and insatiable sex, rape, sexual slavery, poison, pollution, war. and pathology and other pathologies. The causes exist and well can be eliminated. It is ultimately much more cost effective to treat the causes/demand side, than the symptoms/the supply side of the modern milieu .

The Center for Functional Research was incorporated in 1992 as a scientific and educational nonprofit. Its central theme is that there is specific life energy in the cosmos and in the atmosphere, and that this energy is closely coupled with consciousness.
